[ Personality ] :
Zidane is first and foremost the kindest person you'll ever meet. He's incredibly cheerful and rarely doesn't have a smile on his face. Zidane loves life and lives it to the fullest, always optimistic and attempting to keep the spirits up of everyone around him. The most unique trait to Zidane is his motto, "You don't need a reason to help someone." Zidane extends his hand to all who need help. He is more than willing to go out of his way to help complete strangers and will even risk his life for others without a second thought. He’s fun loving and playful with a good sense of humor. He enjoys light hearted banter with friends and likes to tease those he finds to be way too serious. He can be competitive at times but never plays dirty or suffers from bad sportsmanship. Zidane excels at making people smile and being the very definition of a hero. It seems his kindness and childish nature know no limit.

Yet for all his outward behavior Zidane is a very deep thinking individual. Although he comes off as being naive and very shallow due to the way he acts, this is actually far from the truth. He carries his own burdens in silence and has a deep longing in him to belong somewhere. He wants to find the place of his birth (at this point in time it's still lost to him) and longs to go there. He's friendly and is always willing to form bonds with others, but this is partially due to his fear of being left completely alone. He also fears letting his friends down. He is very aware that he has to protect them and feels responsible when something bad happens. He dislikes being alone or seeing something bad happen to those he cares about, which often causes him to be reckless. He always leaps before he thinks, especially if someone is in danger or a life is at stake. Zidane is also a bit too willing to place himself in danger for the sake of others. So in this sense his kindness is also a weakness.

On a side note, Zidane is a huge flirt. One might label him a pervert even and this is probably not far from the truth. He loves women and appreciates all of their finer assists. Friend or foe, if she's a hot babe he's happy. He dislikes hurting girls as a result though he doesn't hesitate to fight them if he must. Though a tad on the short size, he is handsome with green eyes and dirty blonde hair. Thus he can sometimes be a successful flirt. Rarely, however, because his perverted nature tends to get in the way. Or he forgets which girl he's already asked out on dates.

Overall it's hard to sum Zidane up in a few words. He's cheerful, kind, fun loving, playful, childish, mature, heroic, selfless, serious, reckless, stubborn and flirtatious. He likes to go with the flow and has a strong resolve to just live his life to the very fullest.

[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
Zidane is a thief and a very good one. He can steal things right from under the noses of others and before they realize it, he’s long gone. In the game he is a member of a band of thieves and is the only character in game to have the "Steal" command. He’s also exceptionally skilled with daggers, usually wielding two at all times. All of his main equitable weapons are daggers. He’s agile and quick on his feet, easily dodging attacks and in turn attacking with great speed. He's very athletic as well, able to climb all over the place.

Additionally Zidane has a series of special abilities called Dyne. Although they look like magic and seem to work to a similar effect, they aren't any type of magic at all. What exactly they are is anyone's guess but they're only useable by him. They are powerful and deadly, but most of them are only accessible when he enters Trance. Trance is another ability he has. While in Trance Zidane's power and defenses increase. They give him an epic power boost and also grant him access to his Dyne attacks. But apart from his physical power there is also Zidane's ability to be so happy and carefree. It rubs off and often has the power to ease the troubled minds of others.

Though agile, Zidane is not very physically strong. He can pack a punch, but it’s usually not enough. He must depend heavily on his agility, speed, and outwitting his opponent rather than his power to knock the enemy off their feet. He can also sometimes be brash and stubborn. He’ll rush into situations without thinking when someone he cares about is in danger. He has no qualms putting himself in danger or self sacrificing in order to save someone else, be it a friend or a complete stranger. Zidane is also quick to trust people, which makes him semi-naive and a tiny bit gullible at times. Those with exceptional skill at hiding their sinister nature could very well fool him.

How strange.

It was raining. The soft pitter-patter of the rain among the leaves of the trees was soothing, almost dream like. Perched in one of the trees, Zidane didn't seem to mind that he was getting wet. Though partially protected by the leaves the air was heavy with moisture that clung to his hair and skin. It made his clothes cling to his lithe frame and his hair stick to his face. But the strangest sensation was the heaviness that it cause on his back. The golden feathers, becoming matted and heavy with rainwater.

Zidane glanced over his shoulder at them, tail twitching. If he concentrated hard enough he could occasionally make them move. Only very slightly, though.

How strange.

This place, the people... This whole world was just so alien to him. It looked like a random village on Gaia but it certainly didn't feel like it. Not at all. It was almost unsettling. He had a lot of questions but no answers. What was with the wings? What was this place? How did he get here? Why was he brought here? Was he suppose to do something? Was there a purpose or was it an accident? Why, why, why? So many things to ask, but to who? Shaking the water from his hair, Zidane abruptly stood and quickly descended from his perch. He landed with ease on the ground, peering up into the gray skies. For now he'd just have to set those questions aside. There was no point in worrying about it right now. There was nothing he could do, after all.

"Well, better make the best of it until I find a way back. I hope the others don't miss me too much."

Chuckling to himself, Zidane turned on his heel and headed back to the village.
